معرفی
Mary E. Law is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on cancer biology, pharmacology, and molecular mechanisms of disease, with an emphasis on drug development targeting protein folding stress pathways, ER stress, and apoptosis regulation. She has contributed to studies on anticancer agents, including disulfide-bond disrupting compounds and repurposed drugs like tranexamic acid.
Dr. Law has taught numerous courses since 2009, including Medical Pharmacology, Principles of Drug Action, and Cell Signaling, reflecting her expertise in therapeutic strategies and drug mechanisms. Her grants include projects on targeting HER receptors and death receptors in breast cancer, as well as reducing racial disparities in cancer outcomes through synthetic-lethal strategies.
Her work spans experimental therapeutics, molecular biology, and translational research, with over 40 publications in high-impact journals. Key areas include protein disulfide isomerases as therapeutic targets, mechanisms of drug resistance, and the unfolded protein response in cancer.
