She holds a PhD and MA from the University of Toronto, and a BA from McMaster University. Her research examines money, finance, and economic institutions through lenses of social history and political economy, with particular focus on non-market institutions like philanthropy, social welfare systems, and cooperative economies.
Raddon's work explores how community exchange networks reveal patterns of reciprocity and gender dynamics, while her investigations into civic participation bridge academic scholarship with community engagement. She actively employs service-learning methodologies that combine theoretical frameworks with practical community involvement.
Her supervision areas include economic sociology and critical pedagogy, demonstrating commitment to mentoring emerging scholars in these fields.
