Mary Beth Glenn is a Professor of Biological Anthropology at California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, and serves as Undergraduate & Graduate Advisor. She is Co-Director of the Humboldt Biological Anthropology Research Lab and a Senior Research Scientist at the Windward Islands Research and Education Foundation (WINDREF). Her research focuses on primate behavior, ecology, and mechanisms of evolution, particularly genetic drift in island monkeys (Cercopithecus mona). She has conducted fieldwork on primates in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Grenada, and São Tomé and Príncipe.
Teaching specialties include Biological Anthropology, Human Evolutionary Health, Primate Adaptation & Evolution, Paleoanthropology, and Skeletal Biology & Forensics. She emphasizes the broader ecological and social contexts of her research regions, including outreach and advocacy efforts.
Her affiliations include the Department of Anthropology, housed in Behavioral & Social Sciences Building, Room 506. She collaborates with institutions like WINDREF and leads research initiatives in primate ecology and conservation.
