Martyn Jones is a Professor at the University of Dundee's School of Nursing and Midwifery, with an international reputation in workforce research. His work focuses on healthcare staff well-being and care delivery, utilizing innovative e-technologies like PDA-based behavioral diaries to track real-time work environment impacts. He collaborates with institutions such as the University of Aberdeen and NHS Tayside, leading projects on nurse stress, patient self-management, and clinical decision-making.
Research Themes: Improving Well-being and Care Delivery through understanding staff well-being determinants and supporting patients with long-term conditions. His methodologies emphasize real-time data collection and cross-cultural validation, exemplified by the Student Nurse Stress Index (SNSI) tool.
