Martine LAVAUD is a Professor of French Literature at the University of Artois (UFR Letters and Arts, Arras). She holds a Doctorate in Modern Literature and an Habilitation to Direct Research. Her academic career includes roles as Secretary-General of the Théophile Gautier Society and editor of their journal Bulletin de la Société Théophile Gautier.
