Her research focuses on targeting latent viral genomes using engineered homing endonucleases to disrupt viral pathogenesis, including herpes simplex virus (HSV) and lentiviruses. Key projects include developing gene therapies to cure HSV latency, analyzing viral spread kinetics, and investigating TcR signaling inhibition by HSV proteins.
Recent work highlighted in press releases includes advancements in herpes cure research via gene editing, published in 2024, and refined experimental approaches for herpes therapy (2022). She has contributed to studies on viral transmission mechanisms and antiviral strategies.
