Martina Wagner

Prof. Mag. Martina Wagner is a Professor at the Pädagogische Hochschule Wien, affiliated with the Institut für Weiterbildung (Institute for Further Education). She has held roles since 2022 as a university lecturer and course director for the Leisure Education Program. Her academic journey includes a Master of Science in Mindfulness in Education (2019–present), a Magister in Health Sciences (2011–2014), and a primary education diploma (2004–2007). Her teaching focuses on leisure education fundamentals, diversity, and practical pedagogical skills. Research interests span mindfulness in education, intercultural competence, and gender studies in leisure pedagogy.

She has published on topics such as mindful learning spaces for global citizenship education, diversity in leisure education programs, and gender dynamics in pedagogical training. Her career includes over a decade as a primary school teacher in Vienna, ski instructor, fitness trainer, and research assistant. She actively contributes to the development of educational programs at PH Wien and maintains certifications in yoga instruction, NLP, and swimming rescue.
