Martina Fürrutter is a Research Fellow at the Chair for Political Science and European Integration Studies, University of Innsbruck, where she serves as research coordinator for the Institute for Comparative European Research (ICER).

- Master's degree in Political Science and International Economic and Business Studies from the Universities of Innsbruck and Zaragoza (2012), featuring an interdisciplinary thesis on Political Determinants of Regional Trade Agreements
- Ongoing doctoral research focused on the Sanctions Policy of the European Union
Her scholarly work centers on the functional, institutional, and procedural dimensions of the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), with extensive analysis of inter-institutional relations across EU legislative frameworks.
