معرفی
Dr. Martina Doolan serves as Associate Professor in Learning & Teaching at the Centre for AI and Robotics Research within the Department of Computer Science, School of Physics, Engineering & Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire, where she integrates technology-driven pedagogical approaches across academic programs.
Her research centers on educational technology and collaborative learning methodologies in higher education, with specialized focus on AI-robotics applications in teaching environments, neuroscience-based group dynamics, and cyber-physical systems curriculum development. She examines how compassion influences group work effectiveness and develops technology-enhanced learning frameworks that extend beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
Analysis of her 2016-2019 publications reveals consistent emphasis on practical educational technology implementation, particularly through robotics (Pepper robot integration) and cyber-physical systems frameworks, while concurrently exploring psychological dimensions of student collaboration and software engineering pedagogy.
Dr. Doolan secured significant research funding including leadership of the JISC-funded Audio Supported Enhanced Learning (ASEL) project (2008-2009) and co-investigation of the International Master of Science on Cyber-Physical Systems (MS@CPS) initiative (2018-2021), demonstrating sustained commitment to developing innovative cross-border educational programs.
She actively contributes to the Centre for AI and Robotics Research, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to advance educational applications of artificial intelligence and robotic systems within computer science and engineering education contexts.
