Martina Axmin is an Associate Professor (on Leave of Absence) at the Department of Law, Lund University. She holds concurrent researcher roles in Health Law, Human Rights Law, Norma Research Programme, and Public Law. Her affiliations include the LU Profile Area: Proactive Ageing. Her research focuses on EU law, elder law, social security systems, and legal frameworks impacting aging populations. Axmin has contributed to over 35 scholarly works since 2022, addressing topics like pandemic legal responses, EU mobility rights for seniors, and gender aspects of social security. She leads projects related to prolonged working lives, elderly healthcare rights, and social rights in housing for aging populations. Key collaborations include the Norma Research Programme on elder law and multidisciplinary studies on proactive ageing. Her work intersects legal analysis with societal challenges, emphasizing human rights and equitable policy design.
