Martin Zeilinger is a Reader in Computational Arts & Technology at Abertay University, affiliated with the Department of Games and Arts. His research bridges digital art, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and critical theory, focusing on cultural ownership and experimental video game culture.

His research explores authorship and agency in AI-generated art, blockchain-based ownership models, and the intersection of technology with creative practices. He co-founded Toronto’s Vector Festival (2014-2020) and contributes to AI ethics education through courses like Critical Studies (ART308) and Game Studies (DES104).
Recent work (2025-2024) spans critical AI frameworks (Doing AI Differently), blockchain’s role in art economics (Financialized Play), and tactical approaches to generative systems (Enchevêtrements tactiques).
