Martin Sträßer

Martin Sträßer is a Doctoral Researcher at the Chair of Software Engineering (Computer Science II) at the University of Würzburg, Germany, under Prof. Samuel Kounev. He holds a BSc in Aerospace Computer Science (2018) and an MSc in Computer Science (2020), both from the University of Würzburg. His research focuses on performance modeling, simulation, and prediction of modern software systems, including microservices, container orchestration, and Kubernetes cluster performance. Sträßer has earned notable awards, including the Best Industry Paper Runner-Up at ICPE 2022 and the Würzburg Software Engineering Award for his Master’s thesis on predicting performance degradations in microservice applications.

• Teaching: Coordinates exercises for the "Fundamentals of Programming" course, supervises Bachelor/Master theses, and oversees practical courses like "Softwarepraktikum" and "Praktikum Software Engineering/Software Design and Quality".
