Martin Stempfhuber

Martin Stempfhuber is a Senior Scientist at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Salzburg since July 2022. His research focuses on sociology, social geography, and digital identity studies.

• Education: PhD in Sociology from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (2010), thesis on "Paargeschichten. Zur performativen Herstellung von Identität"
• Research: Explores identity performance, public/private boundaries in Web 2.0, and digital sociology
• Affiliations: University of Salzburg; previously held positions at Munich, Mainz, Hamburg, and Würzburg
