معرفی
Dr. Martin Schrön is a researcher affiliated with the University of Potsdam's Cosmic Sense team, specializing in hydrogeophysical methods and neutron simulation. He works at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany, where he contributes to advanced environmental monitoring technologies.
His research spans three primary modules within the Cosmic Sense consortium:
- Roving & Airborne (RA): Operating Europe's only CRNS rover since 2014, focusing on mobile cosmic-ray neutron sensing and field data analysis across Europe.
- Neutron Simulation (NS): Developing the Ultra-Rapid Adaptable Neutron-Only Simulation (URANOS) for neutron transport modeling, and contributing to hydrological model forward operators.
- Snow Dynamics (SD): Investigating snow-water equivalent and seasonal dynamics through neutron sensing techniques.
With a background in astronomy and particle physics, he co-developed the mesoscale Hydrological Model (mHM) and URANOS, enabling large-scale environmental monitoring and simulation. His work bridges experimental field measurements with computational modeling for land surface hydrology.
