Dr. Martin Robinson is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Queen's University Belfast. His research focuses on understanding the impact of adverse and traumatic life events on mental health, particularly disorders associated with stress as defined by ICD-11. He holds a PhD from Queen's University Belfast (2020) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His work includes studies on military veterans' mental health, resilience mechanisms, and global health interventions involving men and boys in family planning.
Education: BSc (Hons) Psychology (Ulster University, 2016); PhD in Psychology (Queen's University Belfast, 2020).
Research interests center on traumatic stress, complex PTSD, and the interplay of risk and resilience factors. He has contributed to international projects like the MI-VIDA study in Colombia and has published extensively on topics such as diagnostic systems, comorbidity, and intervention efficacy. His teaching spans traumatic stress, mental health, and research methodologies.
