معرفی
Martin Reuter, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, affiliated with the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). He leads the Deep-MI Lab and the Laboratory for Computational Longitudinal Neuroimaging (LCLN), focusing on AI-driven medical imaging solutions.
- Education: Ph.D. in Computational and Differential Geometry (summa cum laude, 2005, Leibniz University of Hanover); M.Sc. in Mathematics (2001, Leibniz University of Hanover).
His research develops advanced machine learning and deep learning methods for automated brain MRI analysis, enabling early detection of neurodegenerative diseases like dementia and Huntington's disease through preclinical biomarkers. His software tools (FreeSurfer, FastSurfer) are widely used in global studies such as ADNI and the Rhineland Study.
Scientific Awards:
- Feodor-Lynen Fellowship (2006-2008)
- Most Cited Paper Award (2009)
- Leibniz Prize (2006)
He is involved in multidisciplinary collaborations with institutions like the University Hospital Bonn, MIT, and Harvard Medical School, emphasizing clinical precision medicine and resource-efficient AI models for neuroimaging.
