معرفی
Dr. Martin Pullinger is a Senior Research Fellow in Data Science and End Use Energy Demand at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy & Resources, University College London (UCL). His research focuses on analyzing household energy demand patterns and their policy implications for energy system decarbonisation.
- PhD in Social Policy (2011), University of Edinburgh
- MRes in Social Policy (2006-2005), University of Edinburgh
- MSc in Ecological Economics (2001), University of Edinburgh
- BSc Hons in Natural Sciences (1996-1999), University of Bath
His work investigates the interplay of building standards, low-carbon technologies, and household behaviors in shaping energy demand and wellbeing outcomes. He utilizes smart meter data, matched-control methodologies, and cluster analysis to understand daily and seasonal energy use variations, particularly for policymaker audiences.
Martin's publications demonstrate expertise in energy demand modeling, smart meter analytics, and policy evaluation. His 2024 articles explore cluster analysis for energy profiles, while his 2023 work examines cost-of-living crisis impacts on energy use. Long-term datasets like IDEAL (2021) and SERL Observatory (2021) form foundational resources for his empirical studies.
- Co-developer, Smart Energy Research Lab (SERG)
- Principal Investigator, Energy Demand Observatory and Laboratory
- International collaborator, MAGC project (South Africa, Colombia, Indonesia)
- Specialist in smart meter data interpretation
