Martin Oehmke

Martin Oehmke is a Professor of Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He holds significant academic and policy roles, including serving as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a board member of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) Advisory Scientific Committee, and Director of the Financial Intermediation Research Society (FIRS). He is also affiliated with the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. His research focuses on climate finance, systemic risk, banking, and derivatives markets, with notable contributions to understanding green capital requirements, bankruptcy frameworks, and financial stability policies.

Dr. Oehmke has received prestigious awards, including the EFA Best Paper Prize in Responsible Finance (2020) and the Brattle Group Distinguished Paper Award (2013).
