Dr. Sarah Wang is an Associate Professor in the Finance Group at Warwick Business School (WBS), part of the University of Warwick. She joined WBS in 2012 and holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Hong Kong, an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor of Finance from Northwest University, China. During her Ph.D., she spent a year as a visiting scholar at NYU Stern School of Business.
Her research focuses on credit risk, bankruptcy, credit default swaps, and corporate finance. Her work has been presented at prestigious conferences such as the American Finance Association (AFA), American Economic Association (AEA), and European Finance Association (EFA). She has received notable awards, including the Best Paper Award from the Financial Management Association (2009), the 20th SFM Conference (2012), and the Northern Finance Association (2014).
Her recent publications explore topics like credit default swaps' impact on corporate debt structure, central bank policies' effects on corporate investment, and China’s stock market dynamics. She currently teaches the Financial Management module (IB1140) in the BSc Accounting and Finance program at WBS.
