Martin Nordin is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Policy Officer at the AgriFood Economics Centre, both within Lund University School of Economics and Management. His research focuses on labor market economics, agricultural economics, environmental economics, and income disparities between rural and urban areas. He evaluates the effects of policies such as the Common Agricultural Policy and analyzes labor market dynamics in agriculture.
His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to reducing inequalities and promoting sustainable communities. Notable research includes studies on job polarization in Sweden, rural grocery store support policies, and the socioeconomic consequences of early-onset disabilities.
