Martin Mallorie

Martin Mallorie is a Lecturer in Design and Props at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland since 2004. With over 30 years of professional experience in theatre, film, and TV, he specializes in prop making, prosthetics, pyrotechnics, and animatronics. His career began post-graduation from Liverpool College of Art and Design in the 1970s, followed by freelance work across Europe and roles at Tussaud’s workshops and the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.

His expertise spans creative design disciplines, blending traditional sculpting with advanced technical applications in entertainment production. Mallorie’s work emphasizes practical craftsmanship combined with innovative techniques for stage and screen productions.
