Prof. Martin Klingbeil is a theologian and biblical scholar affiliated with the Theologische Hochschule Friedensau, where he serves as Professor für Altes Testament. His research focuses on the Old Testament, Hebrew Poetry, Biblical Archaeology, and Ancient Near Eastern Iconography, often bridging textual analysis with material evidence.
Klingbeil holds a D.Litt. from Stellenbosch University and has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. He is a co-editor of Khirbet Qeiyafa Excavation Reports and serves as Consulting Editor for Davar Logos. His work frequently examines the interplay between biblical texts and their archaeological contexts, particularly through sites like Khirbet Qeiyafa and Lachish.
