Dr. Martin Jacobsen is an Associate Professor of English at West Texas A&M University, affiliated with the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities and the Department of English, Philosophy, and Modern Languages. He joined the faculty in 1999 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2005. His research focuses on discourse analysis and rhetorical theory, particularly in the context of digital communication. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Texas A&M University (1999).
Dr. Jacobsen teaches courses in composition, literature, and linguistics. His notable publication, *Transformations of Literacy in Computer-Mediated Communication*, explores the rhetorical challenges of cybercommunication. He has received the WTAMU Teaching Excellence Award (2001-2002).
His work bridges traditional literary studies with modern digital discourse, emphasizing the evolution of communication in cyber spaces.
