Martin Hinterberger is Professor of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Cyprus since 2002. He holds MA and PhD degrees from the University of Vienna and served as research fellow at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (1995-2001). He has taught at the University of Vienna, Freie Universitaet Berlin, and EHESS Paris.
