Dr. Martin Harris is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing at the Essex Business School, University of Essex. His academic career spans organizational theory, health and social care partnerships, and sociomaterial approaches to technology in social work. He holds a BA from the University of Cambridge, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a PhD from the University of London.

His research focuses on organizational learning, project identity in healthcare partnerships, and leadership dynamics in social movements. He explores how social capital and post-bureaucratic models influence management practices, particularly in Jordan’s telecoms sector and UK health services.
Recent publications highlight trends in interdisciplinary collaboration (healthcare, social movements, and digital governance) and critical theory applied to organizational hybridity. Key projects include an AHRC-funded study on mental health inequalities and a 2025 Impact Leave Award for research community development.
