Martin Hansson is a Senior Lecturer in Historical Archaeology at the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History, Lund University. His academic career spans over two decades with appointments since 2012, following his 2010 associate professorship (docent). He has held significant administrative roles as Director of Studies (2013-2017) and Head of Department (2018-2023).
