Martin Friedlander, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at The Scripps Research Institute. His research focuses on membrane protein topogenesis and ocular angiogenesis, particularly in diseases like diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. He holds appointments as Chief of Retina in the Department of Ophthalmology at Scripps Clinic and actively sees patients.
