Martin Freeman

Martin Freeman, MD, serves as Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota Medical School, with dual faculty appointments in the Department of Medicine and Department of Pediatrics. He concurrently holds the leadership position of Associate Program Director for the Advanced Pancreaticobiliary Endoscopy Fellowship, directing specialized training in complex endoscopic interventions for pancreatic and biliary disorders.

His clinical and academic work focuses on advancing gastrointestinal care through specialized expertise in hepatology, nutritional support, and cutting-edge endoscopic techniques. The fellowship program he oversees represents a critical training pathway for physicians mastering advanced procedures like endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound in pancreaticobiliary disease management.
