Martin FERRAND is a Lecturer at the National School of Bridges and Roads, with dual affiliation as a Research Engineer at EDF - R&D. His research focuses on advanced numerical modeling techniques in fluid mechanics, including 3D Eulerian modeling for turbulent flows under load/atmospheric conditions using the finite volume method, and 2D/3D Lagrangian modeling of water flows via the SPH method.
He teaches key modules at the National School of Bridges and Roads, including leading the 'Computational Fluid Mechanics' module (GMM department) and instructing in the 'Mechanics of incompressible fluids 1 and 2' module within the same department. His work bridges academic education and industrial research through collaboration with EDF's R&D division.
