Martin Ericsson is a Senior Lecturer and Docent in History at Lund University's Department of History. His research focuses on Swedish social and political history, particularly 20th-century movements, nuclear disarmament campaigns, and the intersection of sports and politics. He has contributed to 73 research outputs and led 12 projects, including studies on youth riots, disarmament activism, and historical memory.
Ericsson's work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to peace, justice, and strong institutions. Notable projects include "Kampanjen mot atomvapen 1961-1967" and "Stoppa matchen! Idrott, antirasism och politisk aktivism i Båstad 1968", examining protest movements and cultural politics. He received the Karleby Scholarship in 2016.
