Martin Brown

Prof. Martin Brown is a Professor of Banking at the University of St. Gallen and a Research Associate at ZEW (Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research) in the Research Unit 'Pensions and Sustainable Financial Markets'. His research focuses on financial intermediation, household finance, and organizational economics, with publications in leading journals such as Econometrica and the Journal of Financial Intermediation. Before his current role, he held positions including Senior Economist at the Swiss National Bank, Associate Professor of Finance at Tilburg University, and consultant for financial sector development in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe.
