Prof. Dr. Martin Beer is the Head of the Institute of Diagnostic Virology (IVD) at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (FLI) and serves as Vice-President of the FLI. He holds the academic rank of Professor and is a qualified veterinarian specialist in microbiology and virology.
