Dr. Martin Baker is a Research Associate at the Division of Cancer Sciences, affiliated with the Manchester Cancer Research Centre. He holds a PhD from The Babraham Institute (2015) and BSc from University of Bristol (2011), with postdoctoral experience at University of Pennsylvania.
His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of cancer progression, particularly in RAC1 signaling pathways in prostate and lung cancers. Recent work explores EGFR-mediated responses, PI3K-AKT-mTOR dependencies, and epigenetic regulation of metastasis.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on cancer cell biology, with innovations in understanding therapeutic resistance mechanisms and developmental syndromes. His 24 articles show strong emphasis on translational oncology and cellular biochemistry.
Engages in international collaborations across oncology research networks as evidenced by multi-institutional publications.
