Martha Minow is the 300th Anniversary University Professor at Harvard University and a prominent constitutional law scholar. She has taught at Harvard Law School since 1981 and served as its dean from 2009 to 2017. Her research focuses on human rights, media regulation, digital technologies, and legal responses to social inequality.
Minow holds leadership roles on multiple boards, including the Carnegie Corporation, MacArthur Foundation, and GBH public media. Her academic contributions include seminal works like Saving the News (2021) and When Should Law Forgive? (2019). She advocates for government support of journalism, algorithmic fairness, and equitable legal systems.
Her awards include the Sargent Shriver Equal Justice Award and lifetime achievement recognitions for her work in law and public discourse. Minow’s courses address constitutional law, fairness in AI, and nonprofit organizations.
