Dr. Martha Howard is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology & Visual Science and Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Yale School of Medicine. She specializes in treating children and adults with conditions like amblyopia, strabismus, and congenital eye abnormalities. Her clinical practice emphasizes surgical correction of strabismus in children and non-surgical/surgical solutions for adult diplopia. She is actively involved in medical education, having taught Yale medical students and residents, and holds leadership roles in organizations like the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians and the Status of Women in Medicine at Yale.
Education: MD from Brown University (1989), ophthalmology residency at Yale School of Medicine (1993), vitreo-retinal fellowship at Harvard Medical School (1995), and pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Duke University (2001).
