Erin Walsh, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in pediatric ophthalmology. She focuses on treating amblyopia, strabismus, pediatric glaucoma, cataracts, and external eye diseases. Dr. Walsh is committed to collaborative care, building relationships with pediatricians in genetics, neurology, rheumatology, and neonatology to enhance patient outcomes. She currently serves as the SWIM (Status of Women in Medicine) Liaison for the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science, advocating for women faculty and residents.

Her research interests emphasize improving diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for pediatric eye disorders through interdisciplinary collaboration. Prior to Yale, she held leadership roles at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, including Associate Residency Program Director and interim director of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Walsh’s clinical practice spans multiple Yale Medicine locations, including Greenwich, New Haven, and Norwalk, Connecticut. She is board-certified in Ophthalmology and actively contributes to departmental initiatives aimed at fostering a supportive academic environment.
