Marte Zepernick is a doctoral student and Researcher at the Marburg Center for Ancient World (MCAW), affiliated with the Department of Ancient History at Philipps University of Marburg. Their work focuses on religious objects in Greek sanctuaries, examining human-object interactions within cultic practices.
- Education: Bachelor's and Master's in Ancient Cultures from Georg-August University Göttingen, with stays at University of Leeds and Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.
Their research employs an interdisciplinary approach combining written and material traditions, as well as cultural studies theories. Current projects include reinterpreting Greek sanctuary culture through cult instruments and religious experiences.

- 2020: Analysis of sacred trees in Greek religion.
- 2022: Co-authored work on museum object curation in the Badisches Landesmuseum.
