Marte Lund Saga is a Research Fellow in Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. She holds a PhD candidate position at the Institute for Social Research (ISS) and participates in the 'Weaving the fabric of Elite Bonds (WEB)' project. Her academic journey includes a Master's in Political Science (2019) and dual Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Sociology (both 2017), all from the University of Oslo.

Her research focuses on class theory, elite networks, social inequality, and quantitative methodologies. Key interests include analyzing capitalist class structures, power dynamics, and the role of social capital in shaping elite formations. She has contributed to the World Elite Database (WED), exploring global variations in economic elites.
Publications include work on Norwegian capitalist class politics and cross-national elite analyses. She has received the ARENA Centre for European Studies Master's Thesis Grant (2019).
Teaching responsibilities include courses on quantitative methods (SOS4020), sociological theory (SOS1100), and inequality studies (SOS2100). Her involvement in the WEB project underscores her commitment to interdisciplinary research on elite social bonds and structural power.
