Marte Amundsen is a PhD Candidate and researcher in the Health and Welfare program at the University of Inland Norway. Affiliated with the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences and the Section for Sport and Physical Education, she teaches practical and aesthetic subjects in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) at the Elverum campus. Her research focuses on analyzing how the concept of health is constructed within PETE through critical discourse analysis.
Education: She holds a bachelor's degree in Dance and Pedagogy and a master's degree in Educational Science from the University of Oslo (UiO), alongside primary school teaching experience. As a member of the Teaching and Learning in Physical Education (TLPE) research group, her work aims to contribute to knowledge development in sports science and education, addressing health and welfare complexities.
Teaching: She instructs grades 1-13 in physical education and sports at HINN, Elverum. Research interests include pedagogical frameworks for health integration in teacher education and interdisciplinary approaches to health discourse.
