Dr. Marta Usiekniewicz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Warsaw's American Studies Center, where she coordinates OZN initiatives and co-chairs the Gender/Sexuality Research Group. Her intersectional research examines gender, sexuality, disability, and body politics in American culture, with specific focus on feminist theory, crip theory, and critical food studies.
She co-taught the University of Warsaw's first disability studies course and co-hosts the 'Oswoić gender' podcast. Her scholarship includes analysis of masculinity in hardboiled fiction and crip theory applications in graphic novels.
Usiekniewicz received the Fulbright Junior Advanced Research Award (2014) and a PFRON grant for her 'Crip Appetites' project (2019).
