Marta Santamaría serves as a Researcher at the UNESCO Chair in Life Cycle and Climate Change within the International Business School (ESCI-UPF) of Pompeu Fabra University, having joined the institution in October 2023 while concurrently pursuing her doctoral studies under Dr. Pere Fullana i Palmer's supervision.

Her research critically examines decarbonization pathways in healthcare systems through life cycle methodologies, specifically targeting greenhouse gas reduction in the Catalan Health System.
