Prof. Marta Nowak is a full professor at the Wrocław University of Economics, affiliated with the Department of Cost Accounting, Tax Management and Controlling within the Faculty of Management and Computer Science. Her work bridges behavioral psychology, organizational behavior, and accounting practices. She holds dual doctoral qualifications from Oskar Lange University (now Wrocław University of Economics) and Lehigh University in the U.S., with a habilitation thesis on psychological determinants of controlling. Her research focuses on occupational burnout in academia and auditing professions, behavioral accounting stereotypes, and sustainable development implications in financial reporting.

- Key Achievements: Award-winning burnout research, international visiting scholar at Kanagawa University (2025), and co-founder of the Center for Interdisciplinary Accounting Research
Teaching spans three continents with expertise in multicultural classroom management. She advises doctoral students in Polish and English, including Anna Prończuk’s award-winning thesis on human resource costs. Collaborates with the Polish Chamber of Statutory Auditors on profession attractiveness studies.
