Marta Mirete Hernández

Marta Mirete Hernández is a Lecturer of Spanish and Coordinator of the Intermediate Spanish Language Program at Boston College. She holds multiple master’s degrees: an M.A. in Hispanic Literature & Culture (Boston College), M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (International University Menéndez Pelayo, Spain), and M.A. in Institutional Translation and Interpreting (University of Alicante, Spain), alongside a B.A. in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Murcia, Spain. She is a certified DELE and CLES examiner.

Her research focuses on Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Pedagogy, and integrating technology into Spanish language education. She has expertise in curriculum design, online language platforms, and utilizing realia (authentic materials) in teaching. Currently, she emphasizes leveraging technology to enhance language classroom experiences.
