Marta Losada is a Professor of Physics and Associate Vice Chancellor for Global Research at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), where she previously served as Dean of Science from 2019–2024. She holds a Global Network Professorship in Physics at NYU’s Faculty of Arts and Science.

Her research focuses on High Energy Physics, particularly Elementary Particle Phenomenology, Experimental High Energy Physics, and Cosmology. She has led international collaborations including the ATLAS, DUNE, and NEXT Experiments. Her academic career spans leadership roles in research policy, higher education administration, and global scientific networks.
Marta Losada has been recognized for her contributions to science through her election to the Colombian Academy of Sciences, as well as her involvement in the CERN-Latin America School of High Energy Physics and leadership in the Latin American Strategy for HECAP. She has served as a scientific consultant for the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics and contributed to European-funded networks like HELEN, Invisibles, Invisibles Plus, and Elusives.
