Marta Inés Waldegaray is a University Professor of Spanish at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (UFR LSH), specializing in Hispanic American literature, civilization, and iconography. She holds a Doctorate (2000) and HDR (2014) from Sorbonne Nouvelle and Université de Créteil. Her research focuses on identity narratives, historical representation, and political violence in Argentine literature, with over 30 peer-reviewed articles and multiple edited volumes. She directs the CIRLEP research team and leads the Spanish LLCER degree program. Her work explores themes like national identity, memory, and literary ethics, with contributions to journals like América and Caravelle. She has advised four doctoral theses and co-edited influential works on Latin American literature, including Cuerpos: miradas poéticas, significaciones políticas (2023). Her academic roles include membership in the Société des Hispanistes Français and the external CAPES Spanish jury.
