Marta Faust is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of History of Art and Architecture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She holds a PhD in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her research focuses on early-modern European art and visual culture, particularly printed images and print culture through the 1820s, emphasizing the Low Countries and German language regions. She explores themes such as image circulation, media studies, cultural memory, and the relationship between pictures and literary translations.

Research Interests: Faust investigates the circulation of images, media forms, and memory in early-modern Europe. Her work bridges art history with print culture, analyzing how printed materials influenced cultural exchange and literary translation across regions.

Teaching and Grants: Faust has taught at the University of California and SUNY Oneonta. Her research has been supported by the German Studies Association, Newberry Library, Albert and Elaine Borchard Foundation, and United University Professions/State University of New York. She is currently working on a book about the late resurgence and reception of fifteenth- and sixteenth-century prints.
