Marta Carrasco Bonet is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Construction Engineering at the University of Girona, where she contributes to research and education in urban and territorial planning. She is a member of the Research Group in Architecture and Territory, focusing on systemic and regenerative approaches to urban challenges.
Her research interests center on urban resilience in the context of climate emergency, with a strong emphasis on landscape and territorial strategies. She actively promotes citizen participation and community-based action in urban planning processes. Her work integrates social, ecological, and economic dimensions through a transdisciplinary lens, particularly exploring the role of non-sedentary weekly markets as ecosystems for local resilience.
She is currently developing her doctoral research on the urban and territorial relationship of food chain spaces from a regenerative and social perspective. Her professional practice is channeled through Mixité cooperative, which she co-founded, working at the intersection of territory, art, and community under the principles of the Social and Solidarity Economy.
She holds a degree in Architecture from ETSAB and a Master’s in Research in Urban Planning from UPC. Her academic and professional trajectory reflects a deep commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and participatory urban transformation.
