Dr. Marta Bieszk serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Institute of German Philology at the Faculty of Languages, University of Gdańsk. She holds the administrative role of Head of Internships and is an active member of the Regional Group of the Association for the German Language (VDS Region Polen - Nord). Her academic office is located in room 153, and she maintains regular consultation hours on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 to 9:45 AM, accessible via email or phone.
Her educational qualifications include a Master's degree in German Philology from the University of Gdańsk (2007) and a Master's in Instrumental Performance from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk (2008). She earned her PhD in 2012 from the University of Gdańsk with a dissertation titled "Prosodic properties of phonetic-phonological structures and their relevance in foreign language communication," supervised by Prof. Dr. hab. M. Szczodrowski.
Dr. Bieszk's research centers on foreign language pedagogy, with emphasis on psychological and pedagogical aspects of language acquisition. She investigates teaching methodologies for language subsystems and skills, the role of urban culture in language education, and the incorporation of spoken language variants and regionalisms into teaching practices. Her work bridges theoretical linguistics with practical classroom applications.
In her teaching role, she conducts practical language modules covering conversation, writing, phonetics, and teaching methodology. As Head of Internships, she coordinates student internship programs, providing guidance and supervision to ensure effective professional development. Her consultation hours reflect her commitment to student support and academic mentoring.
