Marshall Jones is an Assistant Professor and Director in the School of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology. A retired police officer, he established the university's undergraduate forensic psychology program in 2003 and has held roles including undergraduate academic program chair and director of online programs. His work bridges law enforcement practice and academic research through applied scholarship.

He co-directs Florida Tech's Roach Lab, an innovative teaching initiative that utilizes discoid cockroaches (Blaberus discoidalis) as ethical, low-cost animal models for undergraduate psychology education. This program replaces traditional vertebrate models to demonstrate core behavioral concepts while addressing ethical concerns and resource limitations in classroom settings.
