Marli Guimarães Fernandes is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economics and Management Marco Fanno, University of Padua, and affiliated with the Economics for Policy Knowledge Center. Her current work centers on the PERCOP project investigating the political economy of reforms and populism costs.

Dr. Fernandes collaborates on policy evaluation initiatives including Intergenerational Policy Evaluation and Social Mobility in Portugal, which have received coverage in Público, Renascença, Observador, and Sol. Her work bridges rigorous empirical analysis with real-world policy design.
